Postelles Celebrate White Night Solstice Early
Motown is a far cry from NYC but don’t tell that to garage popsters The Postelles. Their sound of vintage rock was so well liked that not only would your mom approve but so did The Strokes Albert Hammond Jr., who’s taken them under his wing to produce not only their past efforts like 2008’s viral single ‘123 Stop’ but also their upcoming EP. It looks like after a dry spell the boys are back to prove their golden grit with the planned 4-track White Night EP due March 2nd. Available digitally, it will include three new songs ‘White Night’, ‘Sleeping On the Dancefloor’ and ‘Looking Glass’. The digital EP will also feature an iTunes exclusive remix of ‘Sleep on the Dance Floor’ by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear fame.
Picking up steam, the boys are heading out on the road to not only pay South By Southwest its dues but have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall for a benefit tribute to The Who. After which they will forge the countryside with Hockey.
