Arcade Fire Bring “Wake Up” Call To NFL

Arcade Fire

About all indie rockers Arcade Fire and the NFL had in common - up until a few days ago - was some hits. But when the relief efforts of Haiti need a jump start more now than ever, as people begin to pull out and the public memory fades, leave it to the Montreal band to give everyone a wake up call. Along with Partners in Health, Merge Records, and Bank Robbers Music, Arcade Fire has agreed with the NFL on a unique 100% for charity licensing of the bands 2004 hit ‘Wake Up’ off of the Funeral album. All proceeds of the song airing during the Super Bowl broadcast and subsequent airings on the NFL Network will go directly to Partners in Health Stand With Haiti relief efforts.

Stand With Haiti is an organization petitioning to pay the disaster stricken nation’s one billion dollar debt. To help make a stand, visit http://www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti for more info.
