Throw Me The Statue Soars To New Heights On August 4th

Throw Me The Statue

Don’t knock Scott Reitherman, he’s just bringing this decade some much needed 90’s flair.  Of the same generation, I find myself admiring his and the rest of Throw Me The Statue’s valiant efforts to do so.  With comparisons to Guided By Voices and Odelay-era Beck, TMTS received stellar reviews from the likes of NPR and Paste for Moonbeams, their first album.  On August 4, the band will release Creaturesque, their second creation on the Secretly Canadian label.  Since Moonbeams, the group has expanded their numbers and their sound.  With Reitherman’s songwriting the constant, the band has moved from the garage to the big stage on Creaturesque.  If you miss Reality Bites and scrunchies, come see TMTS on their fall tour supporting this anticipated release.
