stream: Maria Taylor Finishes Third Album
Maria Taylor, former singer of the bands Azure Ray and Little Red Rocket, has just finished her third album, Ladyluck. For being so young, she has quite a resume. She’s even collaborated with Bright Eyes and Moby, among others. On her own, she has fared quite well, gaining recognition every step of the way. Of her two songs that were digitally released (you can hear them both on MySpace), both are tranquil and unfeigned. “Time Lapse Lifeline” is beautiful and harmonious, with orchestral strings, gentle swells and a driving beat to bring the listener to a surreal truth. Perfect vocals deliver the realization that life’s time is a very finite resource “and just like that it’s done”. Taylor claims the best way to listen to this album is “definitely horizontal”. We agree.
