Nico Vega Tours for Upcoming Album
On January 13, the Los Angeles based trio Nico Vega will begin a small tour stretching through the southern states and out to the east coast. They will be supporting their upcoming album, due out on Feb. 3. This will be their first full length album. Until now, the group has only had a couple of EP’s of music to their repertoire. With an eccentric stage presence, lead singer/dancer/entertainer Aja Volkam has a remarkably unique voice and has a penchant for showing off her legs. . . in many ways she brings to mind Karen O and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs with her sound and stage swagger. One difference is that Aja does more of what we like to call interpretive dancing. And it’s pretty sweet.
If you’re down south or out east, you might be lucky enough to witness Aja’s stage presence. More shows are awaiting confirmation.
