Manchester Orchestra Tour for Upcoming Album

Manchester Orchestra

OMG! You get yourself one spot on a Gossip Girl show and you become the toast of indie music-town. But hey, we actually like these southern rockers and don’t give a damn about your Chuck Bass fedish. With a self-titled EP out in a few days and a full album set for Spring, 2009, indie rockers Manchester Orchestra will have plenty of new music to work with on their upcoming tour. The tour begins Nov. 28 and consists of 20 shows in 22 days, ending in their hometown, Atlanta, GA (no, they’re not from Manchester). Sounds like Manchester Orchestra is being overworked or are just a bunch of overachievers. They also played a lot of festivals this year, including Coachella and Lollapalooza (photos here). Their upcoming album, Mean Everything to Nothing, was co-produced by Joe Chiccarelli and Dan Hannon - the former of which worked with both the Shins and My Morning Jacket. With bands that big and their current work ethic, Manchester Orchestra could be thrust into indie rock stardom. XOXO!
