The mastermind behind State Shirt, Los Angeles’ Ethan Tufts, fuses fiery indie with beautiful, searching electronic melodies. The first single, “This Is Old,” combines the ferocity of reflective, self-examining lyrics and a pumping, driving beat, layered with ambient tones that might make Imogen Heap step back and say, “Damn. That kid is good.”
