Benevento’s Barr Postpones His Position

Andrew Barr

This fall, the playful mish-mash of piano pounding and synth tickling can be heard rollicking down the Northeast American trail. Can you hear the whimsical sound cloud of Marc Benevento’s trio as they trek across New England and beyond? Come November, you will. But not without a hitch. Benevento’s drummer, Andrew Barr, will not be able to play with the trio on the upcoming tour. Prepared to take up arms in Barr’s place is Jon Fishman, who will play the shows from November 7th through the 10th. Bevento’s trio will be touring in support of their Invisible Baby release.

In the meantime, Andrew Barr’s other band (who knew musicians could multi-task) Montreal’s Land of Talk continues their tour around America, Canada and Europe. Unsurprisingly, Land of Talk is a trio. Barr clearly has something for menage a trois’s. But more than likely its the sick press they got when touring with Broken Social Scene that has something to due with his new-found time constraints.
