Apollo Sunshine are taking their psyche-pop love fest on tour in support of their fabulous third album, Shall Noise Upon. Those who see the trio before and/or on Halloween, will get treated to Jimi Hendrix covers from “The Apollo Sunshine Experience.” After the dates in the States, they’ll head to Ireland to support soon-to-be-broken-up Dirty Pretty Things. Then they’ll head back with plenty more US shows with Athens, GA boys, Dead Confederate. Strobe lights and good vibes will surely follow.
In other news to make you go “awwww,” Apollo Sunshine guitarist Sam Cohen and his girlfriend, Brooklyn designer Sarah Graves, recently put out a stop-motion animated music video for Shall Noise Upon track, “Singing To The Earth (To Thank Her For You).” Careful while watching though; that rapid strobe light editing might have some unromantic, epileptic consequences.
