The Bedrock of Modern Electronica
We all know who John Digweed is. Just imagine an archetypal euro-trash club; filled to the brim with cascading lights, endless drinks, cocaine-spattered noses, and thick, relentless house music. That is John Digweed. The long-time purveyor of progressive house has recently cooked up something special. What’s that, you ask? Why, it’s a TRIPLE disc compilation!
For a decade now, the Bedrock parties have been a shiny pin on Electronic Music’s communal smoking jacket. The parties have hosted a wide range of acclaimed electronic artists, featuring the likes of Sasha, Deep Dish and Basement Jaxx. In conjunction with the ten-year anniversary of his own Bedrock Records, Digweed is releasing Bedrock 10: Past, Present and Future, a three disc set of remixes and originals from all across the Bedrock catalog. Highlights of the compilation will include Science Departments’ “Persuasion/Repercussion”, Guy Gerber’s “Stoppage Time”, and Steve Lawler’s “Rise In”.
Bedrock 10: Past, Present and Future will be released on November 18th in stores, but you can download it now on iTunes. And don’t forget to wipe that baking powder off your nose!
