stream: Mock Orange Release Captain Love, Take Him on Tour

Hoosiers Mock Orange have just released a serious album, Captain Love on Wednesday Records. Recorded last year in Nashville with Jeremy Ferguson (Be Your Own Pet - may they rest in peace), the album is a follow up to the band’s 2004 LP Mind Is Not Brain, and features cover art from Kathleen Lolley (Z from My Morning Jacket - one of the more wicked cover arts to grace our eyes in the last few years). Plus, any fans who’ve been getting hot under the collar after 4 years with no new material might want to check out Mock Orange when they roll out of Evansville - better known to its folk as the toe jam of the state - to run around the US this fall on tour. For those of you who know even less of the band than their heartland location - check out the first single off the LP, ‘Song in D’ below.
