Great Lake Swimmers Bring Home The Canadian Bacon
Ontario’s own Great Lake Swimmers have polished their acoustic guitars and capos long enough to announce the anticipated release of the band’s fourth album set for early Spring 2009. These melancholy Canadians have been chewing up the highways and byways since May, including a performance opening for Robert Plant and Alison Krauss in their hometown of Toronto. The group will also launch the premiere of the Great Lake Swimmers HD Concert Special on November 5th, which was filmed last September in Toronto and will be showing at select Cineplex Odeon Theaters throughout Canada. So, I guess you better get boarder hopping. GLS is still currently on the road until the tour disbands back in Toronto on October 25th.
