Ben Folds Five reunites for MySpace’s “Front to Back”
Don’t you hate it when you see a band and they don’t play the song you wanted to hear? Well, if you wanted to hear Ben Folds Five play at all, you’ve been out of luck for close to a decade. But Ben Folds is putting the bands split behind him for one night as the reunited Ben Folds Five will play their third and underappreciated album, The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner in its entirety at UNC Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill on September 18th. Presented by social networking (all archaic jokes aside) site Myspace.com, Ben Folds Five’s performance in North Carolina is the website’s “Front to Back” series; which will host bands who have “influenced” the myspace generation. I’m not sure what exactly the myspace generation is, but I hope this means that the series will eventually host Tila Tequila, performing all of I Have Tourette’s.
The proceeds of the Ben Folds Five show will benefit Operation Smile.
