video: Kings of Leon Get ‘Sex on Fire’
Nashville natives and established alt-rockers The Kings of Leon have been setting sexy fires in the their fans ears since 2000. However, this year these sultry, southern songsters have plans for your eyes to be set ablaze with their new music video, ‘Sex on Fire’. This song is featured on the upcoming Leon album Only By The Night, which is ready to drop on September 23rd.
Directed by the accomplished, award winning videographer, Sophie Muller the new Kings of Leon video leaves an unsavory dark taste in your mouth. The video is either a documentary about what happens when you lock a band dressed in black with their gear inside an ambiguously abandoned warehouse decorated with chains and rope, that also happens to be a perfect, wide open location for shooting video footage –throw in a couple weird black Voodoo chickens and shake. Or this is a heartbreaking lament of lead singer-guitarist Caleb Follwill’s intriguing failed relationship with a pyromaniacal nymphomaniac? Either way this video leaves numerous notions for the viewer to contemplate.
