Blip Festival 2008 Announces Dates
Do you ever play the original Legend of Zelda or Castlevania just to listen to the hot jams? Well then, have I got the event for you! Going down in New York from December 4th thru the 7th is the 2008 Blip Festival at Manhattan’s Studio B. Hosted by arts organization the Tank and artist collective 8bitpeoples, the event celebrates the emerging chiptune scene, where artists turn their old Nintendo and Atari consoles into synthesizers and sequencers, and then proceed to turn out the jams with their toys. Sound like the music you’ve been waiting for ever since Metroid? Then dig the confirmed lineup thus far below. We’ll keep you posted on this insanely inventively hip and kick ass fest.
