Fun Fun Fun Fest Gets “Funner!”
The nation’s most redundantly named musical festival Fun [cubed - Fun Fun Fun] Fest has unveiled a heart-exploding line-up for this November’s debauchery. Last years FFF Fest showcased the resurrection of The Murder City Devils and FFF Fest ’08 proves to be even more miraculous. Located on the quaint surroundings of Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas the FFF Fest will conquer and consume November 8th and 9th. A two-day pass will cost you $59.99 (frontgatetickets.com) and the only clear problem with FFF Fest is having to decide between Atmosphere, Tim Barry (AVAIL) and Bad Brains. There is a little slice of music pie for everyone at this year’s gathering, coupled with rising fresh talents such as The National, Deerhoof, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, reanimated older acts like The Dead Milkmen, ALL and Scared of Chaka and a diverse scenery of stars including Kool Keith/Dr. Octagon, Tom Gabel and Ben Nichols –it really puts the “F” back in…“Fuck SXSW!” If you love music pack your bags and buy your tickets, you’re going to Texas!
