Be Your Own Pet: Split City
Blame it on the fact that all the members have side projects. Blame it on the fact that their sound is a bit of a small percentage appreciated. Hell - even the labels could be to blame! Whatever the reason may be, Nashville Tennessee punk rock outfit Be Your Own Pet are apparently split city. Done. Fine. According the bands website, they have canceled any dates after their current UK tour and give little more info than that. While grabbing some headlines for their hard hitting in-your-face style female led vox, the band did little to capture the hearts of more than the jaded. They will be missed but many questions still remain. Most notably - why the sudden split?
The band does play on, however, in alternate forms. Drummer John Eatherly and guitarist Jonas Stein will continue their foray into the side project Turbo Fruits.
