Sub Pop The Champagne

Sub Pop Festival

Its only too appropriate that Seattle based Sub Pop Records would celebrate its 20th anniversary their very own festival. Between a stellar roster, a stellar performance space and an all around stellar reason to celebrate, the indie label has all the right ingredients for a good time. SP20, as they’ve dubbed it, will be held July 12th and 13th at King County’s Marymoor Park. Scheduled to perform are, among other Sub Pop alums, Green River, Flight Of The Conchords, Iron & Wine, and Wolf Parade (more to be announced soon!). Too much self graitification, you say? Not quite. Aside from an onslaught of Sub Pop performances, SP20 will kick off with a comedy performance at Seattle’s Moore Theatre on the 11th featuring Patton Oswalt, Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry and more. What’s more? All proceeds from the festival will benefit a charity of each performing artist’s choosing. Even after twenty years, Sub Pop haven’t lost their heart.
