stream: ‘Dance Dance Dance’ with Sweden’s Lykke Li

Lykke Li

Sweden’s recent dominance over the indie pop sound continues with the May 6th release of Lykke Li’s debut EP Little Bit. The album was produced by the Bjorn third of Peter, Bjorn and John. Collectively, the songs pay homage to her upbringing, marrying sounds that are as diverse and worldly as she is, all measured, balanced, and coalesced into tight three-minute pop songs. Listen up and you can hear the deafening roar of acclaim floating across the pond from the UK, where her debut album Youth Novels has already been released.

Deceptively simple and undeniably additive, full of coquettish oohs, Casio keyboard beats, dancehall horns and honeyed, harmonied back vocals all set against Li’s airy vocals.

Check out ‘Dance Dance Dance’ off the EP Little Bit.
