audio: Eric Avery “Help Wanted”

As a founding member and bassist for Jane’s Addiction Eric Avery was part of a handful of bands that brought alternative music to the masses. Now playing under his own name, Avery flexes his alt muscles in the form of collaboration. His upcoming album, due out April 8th on Dangerbird, features guest appearances galore. Among those featured are Garbage’s Shirley Manson, Taylor Hawkins of The Foo Fighters and the Red Hot TRUMPET stylings of Flea (is it possible to slap a trumpet?) can be heard among the twelve tracks, as well as a few songs about the life of a flying man. For a little taste, fans can stream ‘All Remote and No Control’ below.
