Radiohead Wants You
Radiohead continues its fan-friendly ways with a new level of interaction: a video contest. The revolutionary band has once again made headlines by inviting fans to create animated videos for any of the cuts on In Rainbows.
No experience with animation? No worries. You can submit storyboards of “basic sketches with words,” concept videos, or any other clever format that comes to mind. Once you have that brilliant concept, check out the animation sharing site Aniboom to collaborate with an animator in search of a concept. Easy enough.
Aniboom, TBD Records and Aniboom will select ten semifinalists, allotting each $1000 to produce one-minute videos. Voting will take place on Aniboom and Myspace, with Radiohead making the ultimate decision. The winner will receive $10,000 with which to produce a full-length video.
The clock is ticking, so get to work.
