Those still sour over the abrupt breakup of UK outfit Test-Icicles may not always find solace in Devonte Hynes new project Lightspeed Champion. We only say this because they seemingly have so much more controlled grandeur than the previously scrappy collection led us to believe. So it’s no wonder that his performance at this year’s SXSW left us speechless. Their set included an impressive acoustic version of ‘Perfect Situation’ complete with those swelling violins and cheeky lyrics.
