Folk wonderkid Robert Francis (he is only 20) played to a sold out sit down crowd and blazed thru his latest including a fantastic version of heartache ‘One by One’. Backed by keyboardist Kati O’Toole’s gorgeous vocals and her twinkled keys of ‘Mama Don’t Come’, the band danced thru a stagnant crowd with swelling numbers like ‘Alice’ and ‘Love For Me’. But he shined when he showed his world weary side on ‘Dakota’ despite a crowd that less than appreciated his Ryan Adams plane or understood his Ry Cooder influences on the guitar.
