audio: American Music Club Tour; New Album
Indie veterans American Music Club have announced dates for a North American tour, in support of The Golden Age, the group’s second album since their reunion in 2004. Scheduled for release on February 19, The Golden Age follows Love Songs for Patriots, American Music Club’s first album since the original group broke up in 1995. The Golden Age changes up the veteran collective’s sound not only by adding new faces (Sean Hoffman and Steve Didelot), but also through Mark Eitzel post-production editing-attempting to find a more energetic and invocative live feel.
American Music Club first debuted in 1986 with The Restless Stranger. The Golden Age will be the group’s ninth LP, and was recorded in Los Angeles with Dave Trumfio (OK Go, Wilco).
