video: “Street Jizz,” Ssion’s latest guilty pleasure
Get ready for the guilty pleasure of a lifetime, out February 12th. Ssion (”shun”) - a dodgy electro-glam duo known for their shamlessly overblown stage antics, catchy dance numbers, and general bad taste - is releasing a new album, “Fool’s Gold,” come next February.
The single, “Street Jizz,” released last year, has been turned into a sweet little music video about late-night hookups - full of bright colors, upbeat dance moves, and lines like “late at night, in the park, we’re gonna shoot white light all through the dark.” AHH! Cody Critcheloe, Ssion’s singer/director/tasteless mastermind, shakes his bon-bon all the way through this rainbow-splattered tour de force, but his falsetto crooning sounds like he has a serious case of Scissor Sister envy, and his facial hair and expressions make him look like Weird Al’s delinquent brother.
Gee whiz, street jizz. For every lonely person out there who’s ever considered wandering through a park at midnight without their pepper spray, fear not - you are not alone. Cody Critcheloe is out there - in suspenders and tight green leggings - with you.
