You could sound like Chamomile and still get an audience in an uproar when Eddie Vedder surprises your fans. But your not Kings of Leon, and you don’t drink sissy tea if you listen to the Tennessee sibling foursome’s brand of Southern rock revival. Sure Vedder hopped on stage to hang, but KOL already had the crowd hanging on every chord of rock and roll.

Unveiling Notes: The Oxford Collapse Interview

Oxford Collapse has little to be embarrassed about. Their 2006 Remember the Night Parties was hailed by press yet it eluded the public. Radically raucous in an adolescent way, the album dodged musical stereotypes. This month marks the release of their middle-aged response Bits; the result of a thirty song plethora of material condensed to thirteen unyielding anthems. The album dives more daringly into their brand of post-punk (if you can even all it that) by relying less on lyrical pop (if they even sing like that) and instead favors a wave or rocking guitar revelry (if they’d even admit to that).
